| Aderly is the Agency for the Economic Development of the Region of Lyon. It is one of the first economic development agencies that were created in France. Since 1974, it assists and advises companies for their implementation projects in the region of Lyon, and helps them to find customers. To do so, Aderly supervises any kind of firms (except retailers) for their business projects, thanks to the region’s sectors of excellence; services, industry, life sciences, clean technology, ICT, smart cities, etc. Nowadays, many companies have been wanting to set up in the region of Lyon, which is connected to other economic leaders (Switzerland, Italy, Germany...). The agency has been enlarging its scope of intervention; it includes the metropolis of Lyon and the all Rhône department, and also covers the Plaine de l’Ain Industrial Park, the Pays Viennois Agglomeration Community, the Porte de l’Isère Agglomeration Community and, since 2015, the metropolis of Saint-Etienne. Each year, Aderly staff enables about 80 companies to set up in the region of Lyon.
